Elevating belief to a fact
A question on "gender" (meaning gender identity) will be in Census 2027 despite the fact that the CSO says "Asking someone their sex is one of the core variables the CSO must collect in all social surveys covered by EU Regulation, however gender is not."

What questions will arise in the Census in May 2027 in relation to sex and "gender"?
"Asking someone their sex is one of the core variables the CSO must collect in all social surveys covered by EU Regulation, however gender is not," says @CSOIreland
Good news re Census 2027 compared to the last census when people were allowed to tick both boxes regarding one's sex.

This way hopefully it will be possible to correlate one's sex with a claimed gender and see what mismatch there is (assuming honest answers).@SexMattersOrg pic.twitter.com/ZgFgcYkfBZ
"The data standards outline how a question on sex at birth can be used in conjunction with the question for gender to produce statistics for people whose gender differs from their sex at birth."
(For "gender" read what activists mean: "gender identity".)

"The CSO has no plans to use the question on gender as an alternative to the sex/sex at birth question."
This should help to illuminate just how many are claiming to have a belief in a "gender identity" which differs from the reality of their sex.
"A question on gender will be in Census 2027 (with a ‘Prefer not to say’ response option) following the question on sex at birth (Questions 2 and 9 respectively)."
However there is no need to change question 2 "What is your sex?" to "What was your sex at birth?" since whatever it was at birth will remain the same for life, irrespective of any hormones, surgery or a paid for self-id Gender Recognition Certificate.

Five years ago "a spokesperson for the CSO said that it is cognisant of 'the growing demand for more information on the area of gender identity', and is taking steps to prepare for inclusion of the topic in future censuses."
The CSO was reported to have said that it informed stakeholders and interest groups about what would be included in Census 2022
"These included BeLonGTo, TENI and the Hate and Hostility Research Group."
Proof of where the "growing demand" is coming from.
In case you're wondering: the Hate and Hostility Research Group appears to be based at the European Centre for the Study of Hate in the University of Limerick - https://ul.ie/ecsh

The CSO five years ago also carried out two Pulse surveys which included questions about gender identity.
"The number of people who responded to our gender identity question was less than 1% in both Pulse 1 and Pulse 2."
Will Census 2027 differ?
